BUDAPEST WALKING & DRIVING TOUR (FULL-DAY)

We had a wonderful day with Julia. We wanted to see alternative sights and she tailored our day to visit places we wouldn’t have found by ourselves. Her knowledge of Budapest and Hungary as a whole is expansive and informative. Our tour was half day by car and half day walking.

BUDAPEST WALKING & DRIVING TOUR (FULL-DAY)

This was an excellent tour and I highly recommend it. Julia is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly loves the city. We signed up for the ½ day walking + ½ day driving tour. We learned about Budapest from before the time of St. Stephen (ca. 1000) to the student uprising of 1989 with significant detail and context, including a focus on the time of WWII. We saw both parts of the city by car, foot, bus, and subway. Julia is very flexible and seamlessly adapted the tour when my older relative began having difficulty walking. This is a great tour and a perfect way to start your visit to Budapest.

ART NOUVEAU BUDAPEST

My client recently took a tour with Julia and had a fantastic experience. She absolutely loved her time with her and said she was incredibly down-to-earth, warm, and humble. She felt as though she was spending the day with a longtime friend.

One of the highlights of the tour was seeing Budapest’s beautiful architecture and design through Julia’s unique perspective. My client mentioned that they seemed to click right away and discovered they had a lot in common, making the experience even more enjoyable and personal.

I highly recommend Julia to anyone looking for an authentic, engaging, and memorable tour of Budapest.

Why Early Autumn Is One of the Best Times to Visit Budapest

Budapest in early autumn is one of my favourite versions of the city. The intense heat of summer begins to fade, the light becomes softer, café terraces are still busy and the city’s parks and gardens are mostly green, with just the first hints of autumn colour. September feels like a season in between —

Budapest Reflections: Seeing the City Differently

Budapest reflections can make even the most familiar parts of the city look completely different. There are many ways to see Budapest. You can look across the Danube towards Parliament, stand beneath the colourful roof of Matthias Church or watch the city pass from the window of a yellow tram. These are some of the

My Favourite Places in Budapest I’d Show a Friend

If you asked me to choose my favourite places in Budapest to show a friend, I probably wouldn’t begin with a list of the city’s most famous sights. Of course I’d want you to see Parliament, Buda Castle and the Danube. They’re extraordinary for a reason. But if we had a little more time together,

Look Up: Hidden Animals in Budapest Architecture

Once you start looking closely, you’ll discover animals in Budapest architecture almost everywhere. Lions guard bridges and palace gates, birds spread their wings above rooftops, while owls, bees, peacocks and strange mythical creatures hide among the decorations of buildings most people pass without a second glance. Some are famous symbols of Budapest and Hungary. Others

The Walk in Budapest I Never Get Tired Of

After hundreds of Budapest walking tours, people sometimes ask me whether I ever get tired of walking the same streets. It changes with the seasons, the light, the weather and the people I’m exploring Budapest with, but it still reminds me why I fell in love with this city in the first place. It’s not about

The Beautiful Entrances of Budapest Most Visitors Walk Right Past

When people search for beautiful entrances Budapest has to offer, they often expect grand churches or famous palaces. Yet one of the city’s greatest pleasures lies in the entrances many visitors simply walk past. Some are monumental, others almost hidden in quiet streets, but each one offers a glimpse into the craftsmanship, history and personality
