Our family of 4 went on three private guided tours with Julia. These included a Jewish quarter walking tour, Budapest essentials walking tour and a driving tour of the Danube River Bend. It becomes immediately apparent that she is extremely proud of her Hungarian heritage. She is extremely knowledgable and speaks excellent English. My wife and children felt extremely comfortable around her. She provided us with helpful hints, food, and restaurant recommendations and advice regarding other activities for us while in Budapest. She was punctual and picked us up at her hotel each day. She was extremely patient when we wanted to stop and take photos. She is a delightful person and has an excellent sense of humour. Our travel party of four had a wonderful day with Julia (assisted by her driver George), including pick-up and drop-off at Keleti Rail Station. We were only in Budapest for a day, but Julia brought us on a fabulous “highlights tour” with Hungarian history and heroes, amazing views, architecture, cultural insights, and new perspective on the amazing Magyar people who are charting their own course after so many years of wrestling with empires, world wars and communism.
Julia was delightful to spend the day with – knowledgeable, thoughtful, funny, and well organized with a plan for the day. We kept moving to see as much as possible, but did not feel rushed.
We highly recommend Julia to other travelers – we had and an unforgettable Budapest experience.
