THE FAMILY RESEARCH

Discover Your Family’s Hungarian Roots Through Private Family Research: Explore ancestry, archives, and personal stories with the help of a local expert.
My Family Research in Hungary services are designed for those who would like to learn more about relatives who lived in Hungary generations ago. Family history is more than names and dates. It’s about understanding where your story began.
Through careful archival research, local knowledge, and years of experience, I help uncover documents, places, and historical context that bring family stories to life. Research may include work in state and church archives. I also search newspaper collections, libraries, and other historical sources. Whenever possible, I also look for photographs, maps, and records. They help visualise the world your ancestors once lived in.
When Personal History Meets Place
This category includes online family research projects as well as ancestry research that can later be combined with in-person visits. Visits to relevant locations, such as hometowns, churches, cemeteries, or neighbourhoods connected to your family history.
Each research project is fully personalised and handled with care. Let me know if you’re unsure where to begin or what level of research would suit your needs. I’m always happy to help you explore the possibilities.
