Join the most comprehensive and personal Budapest tour! I would like to show you the Budapest where I grew up, the Budapest that I think is the most magnificent city of the world.

I’ll show you the monuments of the city’s historical main square, the Heroes square where while presenting the statues I can give you a short overview of the Hungarian history. Let’s walk around the 100-year-old trees of the City Park and visit the fairy tale Vajdahunyad Castle.

We’ll drive back to the city center all along Andrássy Avenue. You’ll certainly be amazed by the splendid 19th century palaces, all listed among UNESCO World Heritage sites. We’ll have a look at the main foyer of the State Opera House. We’ll visit the St. Stephen’s Basilica, the largest Catholic church of Budapest which had been built for 55 years. I’d be happy to walk with you to the top of the Basilica’s dome, so that you can enjoy the stunning view.

We’ll take a walk around Liberty square. I’ll then show you the most contreversial WW2 monuments of the neighborhood and the best examples of Hungarian Art Nouveau architecture. We’ll have a look at the second largest Parliament building of Europe.

After crossing the Danube river on the 170-year-old Chain Bridge we’ll stroll around the cobblestoned streets of the Buda Castle District. I’ll show you colorful houses from the Middle Ages and the gorgeous view from the top of the Fisherman’s Bastion. I’ll take you to Buda’s oldest church, the Matthias Church.

We’ll drive to the top of the 235m high Gellért hill, to the unique look-out terrace from where you can take outstanding pictures of both Buda and Pest. I’ll show you around the famous Gellért bathhouse and the hidden Cave Church of Budapest.

We’ll get back to Pest, we’ll visit the Central Market Hall. I’ll show you the best places where you can buy Hungarian paprika and wines. We can also taste some sausage, cheese or strudel in the market.

Finally, we’ll take a walk in the Jewish quarter. Let me show you the famous synagogue triangle and the poignant monuments commemorating the Budapest ghetto.
