The Austrian and the Slovakian capitals are very close to Budapest. Both towns have an amazing history, culture and architecture, book the Vienna and Bratislava tour, a full-day trip to Budapest to explore Vienna and Bratislava!
After a 2-hour long drive in a comfortable car or minivan our first stop is the downtown of Vienna, we’ll take a short walk around the city center and taste the famous Viennese coffee in a traditional local café. The walk includes most of the major historical sights of downtown Vienna. I’ll show you around Stephansdom, Kartner strasse, the gorgeous Opera building, the Albertina, the Hofburg and the Parliament and the Museum Quarter. We’ll also take a stroll in the lovely parks, I’ll take you to Burggarten and Volksgarten.
We continue with a Bratislava tour, I’ll introduce you the city during a short walk from the medieval castle to the old historic center. We can have a typical Slovakian lunch before we return to Budapest. We’ll start the tour at the Soviet Army Memorial, a monument dedicated to the glorious soldiers of the Soviet Red Army who liberated Slovakia at the end of WW2. The recently restored Bratislava Castle is situated on the top of the castle hill at the Danube river from where we’ll enjoy the nice view over the city. We’ll take a walk to the old town, famous for its charming atmosphere with cobblestoned streets and Baroque residential buildings. I’ll show you St. Martin cathedral, the medieval town walls and St. Michael gate, the Bishop’s Palace and the main square of Bratislava.
