The ON-THE-SPOT VIRTUAL BUDAPEST TOUR is truly is a great opportunity for all travellers to see Budapest as they’ve never seen it before. For all those who had to cancel their trip to Budapest in light of the COVID-19 virus, for those, who would like to see some of its beautiful monuments again or just miss travelling, I’m trying to offer the best possible Budapest experience.
This is a 1-hour private Virtual Walk via Skype/Zoom/FaceTime with an enthusiastic tour guide, streamed live from the streets of Budapest. I’m happy to give you a virtual rendezvous-vous either in Buda or Pest, and with your phone or computer you can accompany me for a 1-hour walk around a specific neighbourhood. This is the virtual version of my Budapest walks. Consider the virtual tour as a tailor-made travel show that you’re directing from your home.
I’m happy to take you virtually everywhere around beautiful Budapest. From the comfort of your own armchair you can learn a lot about architecture, history, culture and the everyday life of the Hungarian people. I’m full of stories, I promise I’ll tell you about the buildings and attractions we see on our way as much as I can.
The itinerary of this tour is really flexible. We can do:
- Buda Castle District: the old town of Buda: history, culture and magnificent views over Budapest
- Downtown Pest: from St. Stephen’s Basilica to the Parliament: architecture, history and culture
- Heroes square and City Park: history, architecture and the most famous Budapest bathhouse
- Jewish Quarter Walk: Synagogue triangle, WW2 and Holocaust Memorials and ruin bars

Julia is an excellent guide. Our tour was “virtual”. She told us all about Budapest or should I say “Buda”. Our family logged on from 5 different locations and throughly enjoyed seeing Budapest at night. History, and holiday customs were just a few of the many things she told us about. The 60 minuted flew by quickly. The price was more than reasonable and we only wished we would have spent more time with her. She is Professional and endearing, a combination not always found in guides. When can we visits.
Julia is very comunicative and engaging. She had this amazing smile during the entire tour which does show how much she loves her job 🙂 It made me feel like I knew her before 🙂 I truly felt like I was walking aside to her during the tour. I wish I had! The places she showed me, the colours (!!!), the calm atmosphere, all together made me dream about going to Budapest… On my to go list definitely! Amazing virtual tour. We thought it would be boring, but the guide was very interactive and knowledgeable. She also adapted her tour to focus on what was interesting to us.
This was our second tour with Julia and it was a good or better than the first. In a brief time she educated us about Hungarian history and culture and and allowed us to see some wonderful sights in downtown Pest. We are planning to take a third virtual tour with her in the near future to see and learn more about this wonderful city.

Julia is a wonderful guide and the virtual tour was as excellent as could be expected. We are so pleased that we plan to take at least two additional tours of other areas of Budapest with her.
The virtual tour of Budapest was part of our online summer school’s programme, organized for 35 participants from all over the world. In order to allow interactive discussions, the tours were held live with a maximum of 10 persons /tour. We visited virtually as one route the Heroes Square and City park, and as another route the Buda Castle District with the Royal Palace and Matthias Church. The Tour was engaging and filled with interesting facts and figures about Budapest, some of which not even a local would know. Julia always adapted the content to the context (real life happenings around her) and accommodated and answered all the questions and requests of the participants. We warmly recommend the tour and would like to thank for Julia for giving some insights to the Budapest architecture, culture, daily life etc. Thank you!

We had a marvelous time virtual touring with Julia. We ‘walked’ around with her as she told us stories about the city. The best part was being able to interact with her as we went. When we can we will go to Budapest and hire Julia for a ‘real’ tour!
My husband and I took a VIRTUAL tour with Julia today! We were supposed to be in Budapest this week, but the coronavirus forced us to postpone our trip. When Julia offered a virtual tour, we thought it was a great idea! We booked the tour online for a time that worked for us and Julia confirmed everything through email. Our tour was 1-hour and it was very reasonably priced. We didn’t need any fancy equipment–we used a laptop computer–and it ended up being a great experience! It was a lot of fun seeing new sights and learning more about Budapest from our home. Julia walked around town, showing us the sights and telling us stories and I feel like I have a good idea of the area and how things connect together now. I learned a lot about the history of Budapest and I got to spend quality time with my husband doing something unique. I would recommend this to anyone!
