Let me guide you over two magnificent towns in only 4 hours. I’ll show you the historic old town in Buda and the modern architecture of Pest. Let me tell you about the capital’s 2000 and about the country’s 1000 years of history. I’ll explain why Budapest is a beautiful mixture of different cultures, architectures and arts. You’ll have an amazing view from the top of the Castle and Gellért hills.
I’ll meet you at your hotel and we will drive along the Andrássy avenue, so that you can admire the most amazing palaces of Budapest’s Champs Elysées. I’ll first take you to the monumental Heroes square. We’ll then walk around the City Park to see the Széchenyi bathhouse and the Vajdahunyad castle. We’ll visit the State Opera House. I’ll show you the St. Stephen’s Basilica and can also show you the most amazing view over the Pest side from around the dome of the Basilica (96m high). We’ll cross the Danube river on the 170-year-old Chain bridge and we’ll continue in Buda. I’ll show you around the old cobblestoned streets of the Castle District. We’ll visit the imperial Castle Garden Bazaar, the Royal Palace, the Matthias church and the Fisherman’s Bastion.
Our last stop is on the top of the Gellért hill. I’m sure you’ll therefore enjoy the magnificent view from the top of the hill all over our beautiful city.

Julia rocks! Julia’s tour is a great overview/summary of Budapest. After her tour it allowed me to explore activities she suggested during her tour. There is so much to do in Budapest and Julia has so much knowledge and recommendations of what you are looking for. She has answers to all of your questions. She is very patient. Very accommodating. Not a lot of walking and a great tour for all ages.
This tour was taken for a small group of us traveling on business- this could not be more perfect. While Julia is native to Budapest, her knowledge of the history here can easily be seen through her thoughtful relay of information. I appreciated that she not only provided facts, but she also informed on her perspective and fact vs. fictitious/mythical information. In addition to seeing a lot of Budapest in a nice half day tour, Julia provides a ton of interesting information throughout. The combination of touring in a comfortable van with many walking breaks was ideal as well.

Julia is super friendly and efficient. The half tour by car was so perfect for my family who have a very limited time in Budapest . We practically covered almost all the attractions and places in Budapest . She is so informative in explaining the historical facts on one places to another . Julia is an amazing tour guide! Punctual, educated, passionate and fun—-perfect combination. Our first half day tour was a discovery of Pest with Julia providing excellent commentary. At one point, Julia lead us though a nondescript door that lead to a courtyard full of history, at another point we ventured into a Ruin bar for a peek at modern Pest. Our half day Buda tour was equally informative and amazing. Julia knew the paths that avoided tourist packed sections but still provided incredible views.
We spent 2 half days with Julia. The first was a driving tour of the highlights and the 2nd was the walking food tour.

Julia was our guide. She showed with her driver in a Mercedes van. We saw a ton of stuff but did not feel rushed. She really has a passion for her heritage and hit the highlights enough to get a good understanding of Budapest both culturally and historically. We returned to 3 of the highlights and know that there is enough to keep us coming back maybe 3 more times. If it is possible we will be looking to have Julia accompany us again.
I can not imagine having a tour guide better than Julia! We learned so much about the history and important places to see in Budapest. Julia not only knows her history, but she is a very pleasant woman to be around. And she has a great sense of humor. Julia was punctual. Julia was quick to reply to all emails I sent prior to our excursion. She was waiting for us when we got off the ship and she was easy to find. We toured the city in an air conditioned van and on foot. She introduced us to areas on both the Pest and Buda sides of the river. She gave us information that would benefit us on our 2 and half more days in the city. She advised us on public transportation and checked opening hours of places we wanted to visit. I felt I was touring with a long time friend!
Our guide adapted to an unexpected situation. My camera had broken shortly before the tour. As I planned to shop for a new camera the next day, my guide said, “we will take you to a shopping mall, and I will help you purchase a new camera.” We did without loosing too much time. My guide also found a place, as we visited a one of the tour sights, to charge the new battery. The overall tour was great, and I no longer had to worry about purchasing a new camera at a business that didn’t speak my language.
I am in Budapest for work. Decided to take a tour with family and friends. Julia came to our hotel with our driver and took us on a magical four hour tour of Budapest.
