BUDAPEST WALK

We did 2 walking tours with Julia through Budapest. She is great. We explored both sides of the river the day we arrived and did parliament and the jewish quarter the next morning. She is so friendly and knowledgable and easy to be with and talk to. She taught us how to use all forms of public transport as we used every form of transportation while touring with her as this maximized our ability to see so much when we were with her so we were comfortable using the metro, trams and buses to get around when we were on our own. A good tip she taught us is that they sell a group ticket for the public transportation at the machines in the stations and that they sell an unlimited pass for 24-48-72 hours. Don’t hesitate to book a tour with Julia!!

We had an amazing tour with Julia!! She showed us so many beautiful sites and we learned so much about the rich Budapest history – it was fun, enjoyable and educational. Julia, having lived in Budapest her whole life, has so much to share. I wish we had scheduled more time with Julia – and yes it was that good!! I highly recommend Julia to anyone traveling to Budapest. This was a business team building with colleagues and friends but would be excellent for friends and families!

Budapest was amazing because Julia took us all over for two days. Places we would have never found. She was extremely knowledgeable and u can feel the love for Budapest. She did have to put up with my shopping stops but I learned from previous trips if u see it buy it so I did. We also enjoy climbing towers and we had her come with us I think we pooped her out lol I highly recommend her and you need to book her early She will always be part of my memories of Budapest. She has a fabulous fun cheerful personality you can tell she loves taking tourists through Budapest , book her. She is the best !!!!!!

A 4-hour tour that was as perfect as it could be.
Julia took us to all the places we wanted to as well as hidden gems.
She is funny and informative. We highly recommend her to all that want to make the most out of their trip.

My wife and I spent 2 days with Julia on a 4 hour private city tour and a 6 hour walking tour of the city. Julie was the best; articulate, spoke perfect English (among other languages), extremely knowledgeable and a perfect guide. We felt we were being shown the city by a friend, eager to show us her beautiful city and explain its history and culture along with its politics. Julia even recommended a touring itinerary for us on our third day as she was unavailable (already booked). My advice is to book her early as she is highly recommended and sought after as a guide in Budapest.

Julia has been my guide on two different international projects I orgnaized in Budapest. One for HS students and one for adults. In both cases she managed to set the tours up to my specifications. She is extremely flexible and goes out of her way to meet your needs.
She is the only tour guide I have ever requested a second time in my over 30 years of traveling through Europe.
I will be contacting her for a third trip next fall!

Julia was an excellent guide (our tour was in English) and a lovely person who obviously loves her city. She was extremely knowledgeable and and showed us not only the highlights, but interesting parts of the city that you won’t easily find in guidebooks. She was also flexible to changes in our schedule, and adjusted the pace of the tour itself to accommodate all the members of our group (which included children).

Julia was an absolutely incredible tour guide! My mother and I were thrilled with her depth of knowledge about the various sites we went to in Budapest, as well as her organization, professionalism, and generally fantastic personality. We left all of the planning up to her and loved every minute. From the history to the Buda Castle to the current nightlife in Ruin Pubs, Julia knows Budapest through and through. Her recommendations for things to do beyond our tour, particularly places to eat, were also perfect – down to the strudel place she took us to at the end of our second tour day! In short, Julia is absolutely everything you want in a tour guide, and we could not recommend her enough.

I’ve been on personal tours in over fifty countries and I can honestly say, Julia is one of the very best. I think her four hour tour of Budapest was the best part of my three day tour. We used the metro and buses and saw all the highlights and, during my requested coffee stop, Julia answered all the questions I could possibly ask. Also, she is extremely personable and will add a funny story or two with each stop.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and, should I return to Budapest, will definitely take her food tour and her Jewish Quarter tour.

Wij hadden een heerlijke stadswandeling met Julia. Ze spreekt zeer goed Engels, kent de stad en de geschiedenis op haar duimpje. Zeer aangenaam gezelschap. Voor 100 Euro zijn we makkelijk 4,5 uur onderweg geweest en een fooi wilde ze niet aannemen.

Julia nous a fait découvrir sa ville de nuit à travers les monuments touristiques, les rues typiques et les quartiers animés mais aussi en dégustant quelques spécialités hongroises accompagnés de bons vins.
Le français est irréprochable.
Bravo !! Le tour était réussi elle a su captiver notre attention et nous faire passer un moment très convivial.

Nous avons décidé de nous faire guider pour une visite privée accompagné de nos deux enfants de 8 et 12 ans par un guide parlant parfaitement le français. Nous avons ainsi rencontré Julia. Le challenge de Julia était double. A la fois combler la curiosité des parents et aussi savoir intéresser les enfants pendant toute une après-midi de visite (4 heures programmées). Et bien, la mission a été pleinement réussie. La gentillesse de Julia a comblé tout le monde. Nous avons tellement apprécié que mes beaux-parents ont ensuite aussi visités Budapest en sa compagnie. Julia was more than helpful as we toured Budapest. We usually have drivers for tours as I am not fond of public transportation normally. Julia’s ease with her utilization of public transportation (tram, metro, and bus) was incredible. She took us all over Buda and Pest in three long half days, with in depth explanations of the sites. We booked the 4 hour walking tour of the city highlights and it was the perfect introduction to Budapest. Our guide (Julia) could not have been more welcoming, helpful, flexible or knowledgeable. She was a source of endless interesting facts and anecdotes and despite the cold, wet weather (February) she was always cheerful, amusing and charming. We particularly enjoyed hearing Julia’s stories of her family’s experiences during Hungary’s traumatic history of the 20th century. Her open and friendly nature left us with a wonderful impression of Hungary and its people.

This was our first time visiting Budapest and we didn’t know what to expect. We are a family of 5 with 2 teenagers and an 11 year old. We arrived mid afternoon on a Sunday and checked into our apartment. The next morning we met Julia for our tour and let me say it exceeded my expectations. Julia is extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable of Hungarian history and Budapest. She loves to talk about her culture and knows all of the good places to see. She could tell us the history of every landmark and statue. There was never a dull moment of our tour. Julia took us to a hidden coffee and pastry shop that only the locals know about. She also gave us advice on where not to shop because the prices are too high. She was also available after our tour via e-mail or text to answer any questions we had.
